Catherine "Cathy" Lawrence Jones

Catherine "Cathy" Lawrence Jones, 66, of Sanford, FL, passed away on November 16th, 2023, in Sanford, after a lengthy illness. She was born on July 26, 1957, at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, GA, to Peggy and Cameron Lawrence, D.V.M.  Cathy had a deep love for animals and nature and thoroughly enjoyed working for the Central Florida Zoo in her earlier years. Later she changed her career path and began working in Accounting and Banking until her retirement. After retirement her favorite thing was spending time with family. She is survived by her Mother, Peggy Lawrence of Sanford; Son, Cozart (Genny) Lawrence of Sanford; Daughter, Victoria Jones of Sanford; Son, John Jones of Sanford; Grandchildren, Mya Peets, Lily Jones,

and Brynlee, Collier & Sawyer Lawrence; Brother, Jim Lawrence of Sanford; and Sisters, Janie Marshall of Sanford and Beth (Vince) Corino of Lake Mary, Uncle Cozart Smith (Catherine), Decatur GA. Cathy was preceded in death by her Father, Cameron Lawrence, D.V.M and her Brother-in-Law, Dave Marshall. Please join us in celebrating the life of Cathy, a beloved Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and

Friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 2pm, a Celebration of Life at 3pm and a reception to follow.
